Conservatories - Timber - Stained and Painted

Wood is a natural product and a beautiful material in which to work. When finished it is a matter of personal preference whether one lacquers the wood, to see the grain, colour and texture of the tree form which it came; stains it, to darken the tone and colour but often enhance the character, or paint it to create a particular ambience and match a particular colour scheme.

Whichever you choose, we are happy to oblige. Able to lacquer, stain or paint your conservatory in our dust-extracted and heated spray booth, we can achieve the beautiful finish that your imagination aspires to for a final effect.

Once assembled the timber frames receive one base coat and two top coats of a microporous stain or paint, to your preference. Doing this means the timber leaves our premises fully protected against the weather during erection of your conservatory. Once fully installed we often give them a final on-site finish coat which eliminates any pencil or handling marks which may have occurred during construction.
We use modern microporous lacquers, stains and paints since they have the ability to let the wood ‘breathe’ and make seasonal adjustments for natural humidity, while preventing water droplet penetration. For those of you more textile minded, think of this as ‘Gore Tex’ for timber!
