Windows and Doors - Doors
The functionality of stable doors is well established. The convenience of having security in the lower half of the door (to keep in the pets or the children) while being able to throw open the top half of the door to let in fresh air and sunlight or take in the view of the garden cannot be overstated.
They can operate as a single door when required (both halves locked together) or one half shut and the other half open. Options include having a solid or glazed upper half of the door, or solid with the traditional ‘bullseye’ bottled glass peep-hole window. Solid panels can be flat, insulated foam-cored panels, or ‘tongue and groove’ or similar effect. If glazed, this can be with leaded glass for the real ‘cottage’ look, Georgian bars or coloured and leaded glass. All of these can, of course, be painted in any colour to suit your colour scheme.
These doors are made in exactly the same way as all our other doors, but utilise slightly different locking mechanisms. They are available in white or painted uPVC, in wood grain effect Light Oak or Rosewood uPVC, or in timber. Strong and secure as well as attractive and functional, these doors are the epitome of relaxed living – whether you are in the town or the country.
