Windows and Doors - Windows

West Cornwall is rated as an area of ‘High Exposure’ – which means it has an average wind speed of 56 kilometres per hour. Coupled with above UK average rainfall at certain times of the year, and salt-laden winds from the sea on three sides, our local area demands high quality and high performance products for windows and doors. Plated mild steel components and fixings are not going to do the job for long, and will prove to be a bad investment over time.

Our uPVC windows are manufactured in our factory from the Synseal Legend 70 Profile system. The profile is made in the United Kingdom and measures 70mmm from front to back, providing both high strength and superior thermal performance. Our frames are fully reinforced for maximum strength and rigidity, using aluminium to avoid unsightly rust marks in years to come.

All our hinges are made from stainless steel and are fixed to the aluminium frame reinforcement (through the uPVC profile) with stainless steel screws. The stiffness of the hinges can be adjusted to suit your needs by simple adjustment of a grub screw (our fitters will show you how to do this on completion of their installation of your windows). We make extensive use of ‘easyclean’ or egress side hinges, to give the dual benefit of providing the maximum opening area, making the outside of the glass very much easier to clean.

We use shootbolt locks made from stainless steel which provide the highest level of security currently available. Our window locks incorporate two shootbolts and two rollercams and a centre dead-bolt. The handle itself automatically locks the window without the need for a key; simply push the button to operate the handle. The key is for added security and peace of mind while you are away from your property.

We only use internally beaded profile: this will only allow the glass to removed or fitted from the inside the building for safety and security. The Legend 70 system features co-extruded gaskets and ‘clearline’ glazing for a neat appearance. No ugly black rubber to frame your view!

Our range of uPVC windows are all available in white. In the majority of cases they are also available in a realistic wood grain finish of Golden Oak or Rosewood to the outside (with white inside), or wood grain on both sides. The frames can be painted – in any colour - on one or both sides: that includes the wood grain options, to give the full ‘painted timber’ effect to a uPVC window.
